About Us
Nottingham Sports Club of the Year 2011
Introducing the Committee
Absolute Triathlon Club have an active Committee consisting of volunteers from all areas of the club. Committee positions are voted in at the AGM however any club member is welcome to come along to the meetings and we are always looking for support in whatever capacity you can give such as coaching, volunteering etc.
We generally meet every 6 to 8 weeks, and meetings last no more than 2 hours. Most of us have family commitments so we try and keep the role as manageable as possible.
If you would like to be involved in whatever capacity, please get in touch.

“I finished my first year in triathlon with a sea swim at Clacton Olympic distance 2011, possibly the scariest and most exhilarating sporting experience of my life. Triathlon has enabled me to meet a fantastic and varied group of people through my marshalling, club and volunteer duties. It appears to have taken over my life, I have been referred to as a "Tri-stalker" as when I am not racing, I am still there watching!”
Having always been involved in various sports since he was young (swimming, rugby & lacrosse) Joel progressed to a Sports & Science degree and currently teaches at a local school. Joel is also a keen climber, mountaineer and mountain biker and since being given a road bike began developing a passion for Triathlon!"I am really pleased to be involved in such an enthusiastic club and am looking forward to competing . In the past I have marshaled for the London Triathlon, it looked hard but fun, but fuelled my desire for Triathlon!"
"John is busy running his own business, a family of a wife and 5 kids, plus is a General Secretary to Cricket Club. He is looking forward to see how this role unfolds over the year. After watching his children compete in a variety of sports, he is pleased that his son, Matthew, has joined a club with such a strong sense of sportsmanship, comradery and enthusiasm."

the training, the atmosphere, the
people and the continuous encouragement has been brilliant and I look forward to
improving and many more triathlon challenges!"
