Nottingham Sports Club of the Year 2011

Launched in April 2009 Absolute Triathlon is a medium sized sociable club (with just under 200 members) ran by a team of dedicated & hard-working volunteers on a not-for-profit basis.

Our junior and adult members have the opportunity to learn or develop the skills needed to participate in Triathlon whether to compete or simply improve their fitness in a supportive, social and motivating environment.  We welcome all ages and abilities whether you are a complete beginner or seasoned Triathlete; experienced and qualified British Triathlon Federation Coaches lead the sessions and will be on hand to provide whatever support you specifically need.

Although the club was founded by Steve & Jayne Lloyd it is not a business and is owned by the members and managed by a committee which is re-elected every two years.

Beginners Welcome - Our emphasis as a club is on inclusion; therefore we welcome all ages and abilities provided you can ride a bike and swim (50 mtrs minimum) absolutely anyone can come along to a session and give Triathlon a try!  

Membership

Once you have been to your free trial session you will be asked to join the club as membership is compulsory for you to attend the session the club provides.

Absolute Triathlon Club have lots of running costs throughout the year including insurances, affiliations and admin costs,  Membership is only £25 for the year for adults and £10 for Juniors and our membership year runs May 1st – April 30th , reductions apply from November 1st (adults £15, juniors £6).

We have a great and very useful Club Forum – it’s really easy to use just click here to register.  You will need a username and password – any problems just let me know.  It has the most up to date information on and can only be accessed by club members/
